Clinical Position Posted 6/15/2017:  Pediatric Licensed Counselor (LPC or LCSW)–Part-Time

We are seeking a part-time counselor with high interest and experience in the pediatric population, specifically children and adolescents who may have developmental delays or learning challenges.  Special consideration will be given to those with experience, skills and training in Play Therapy, PCIT, infant mental health, and/or DIR/Floortime.   The counselor MUST be licensed by the state of Louisiana.   Provider status with BCBS is also a plus.

Administrative Position Posted 6/15/2017:   Lead Therapy Technician and  Facilitator–Full-Time with Benefits

We are seeking an energetic, organized, efficient, and patient candidate for this position.

Job Description:  Manage schedule of therapy technicians and visitors, maintain an organized and tidy physical space for therapists to work, assist therapists with a variety of tasks related to therapeutic intervention, including but not limited to  preparing rooms for feeding therapy, maintain an organized pantry,  manage videos, testing, or therapy materials, and occasionally provide an extra pair of hands in the therapy session. The person in this position keeps the clinic running smoothly and provides assistance as needed so that the therapists can use their time to plan for and treat our young clients and their families.

Full time hours are Monday-Thursday, 8am to 5:30 pm and Friday, 8am to noon.

Qualifications:  No license or certification is required for this position, as on the job training is provided; however, strong computer literacy, pleasant demeanor,  good communication skills, a high level of physical energy, ability to climb, carry, and move about swiftly, time-efficiency, organizational skills, flexibility, problem-solving, love of children, and desire to be helpful are all essential.

Clinical Position Posted 6/17/2017:  Speech-Language Pathologist (Temporary or PRN)

We currently seeking a temporary SLP for approximately 24 to 32 hours per week from mid-September 2017 to mid-November 2017 to cover a maternity leave.   This could potentially lead to more PRN work after the maternity leave is over.

Qualifications:  An ASHA-certified and LA Licensed SLP is preferred; however, a strong CF would be considered. Must be willing to commit to the above time period. If you are pursuing a permanent position with another organization that would have a start date before those mentioned, please do not apply, as a commitment to this time period is essential.

The SLP must have a theoretical foundation or strong interest in meaning-based, relationship-based intervention, a natural ability to interact with children in a nurturing way, ability to establish a good rapport with parents, a strong commitment to pediatrics,  good problem-solving, a strong interest in working in an interdisciplinary environment and an openness to learning.   Training in the DIR/Floortime model as it applies to speech-language intervention will be provided.
