Connections Extended Intervention Program

Our Connections Program provides additional 1-on-1 sessions with support personnel that are trained by our therapists. These services are NOT billable to insurance. To be eligible for this service, your child must receive speech, occupational, or feeding therapy from one of our providers. These sessions can be added on to your child’s therapy sessions or can occur at a different time of day.

The Connections Program is the only program in the community that provides intensive services for children that is based on the DIR/Floortime Philosophy rather than ABA.

We developed this program to meet the needs of families who are seeking to intensify their child’s intervention programs by adding sessions by trained (non-therapist) providers at an affordable rate.

People who choose Connections have done so for one or many of the following reasons:
  1. They don’t have as much time as they would like to do therapy homework, so having extra Connections sessions allows them to know that the child is getting more support beyond their therapy sessions based on the recommendations of their therapists.
  2. They want their child to experience working with other people in a safe and trusted environment to help overcome separation challenges.
  3. They are seeking an alternative to ABA services.
  4. The extra Connections sessions in our clinic environment allows their child’s therapist to see additional challenges that a child faces outside of therapy sessions, such as difficulty with schedules or transitions, and to help come up with new solutions or accommodations for these challenges.
  5. The specially-planned, developmentally-appropriate activities help push children up the developmental ladder with the support of our well-trained Connections staff as well as our on-site therapy staff.
